We love the cold and so do our animals. Join the Green Valley Dog Drivers for dogsled demonstrations, sled runs, and other winter animal fun. There will also be some special winter animal Zoo Chats. Admission is free!
At Hamill Family Play Zoo, youngsters and their families can meet Nature Cat from WTTW’s new public television series. The animated program encourages children ages 3-8 to explore and develop connections with the natural world. WTTW also will be on hand engaging kids in a variety of hands-on activities, including making bird feeders and playing tracking games. Other fun activities will feature mud play, tips on snowshoeing from the Forest Preserves of Cook County and creating Valentine’s Day cards for the animals.
