Chef Mark Angeles Hired as Mistwood Golf Club’s
Mistwood Golf Club announces the hiring of Executive Chef Mark Angeles, CEC, CCA. Chef Angeles specializes in using classic techniques to create authentic regional and contemporary cuisine utilizing local sourcing, seasonal and sustainable ingredients. With expertise in all facets of cooking and management at Four-Star and Four-Diamond hotels, restaurants, casinos, stadiums, and private country clubs, Angeles will join Executive Banquet Chef Jim Shamet in opening the new restaurant and banquet facility at Mistwood Golf Club.
Chef Angeles was previously the Executive Chef for the John G. Shedd Aquarium and Soldier Field. He has experience in opening a variety of new properties including: North Star Casino, Target Field (Minnesota Twins), LiveStrong Sporting Park (Sporting Kansas City), the New Meadowlands (NY Jets/Giants) and Lambeau Field (Green Bay Packers). He has also been honored to provide world-class cuisine for a range of parties and functions including the NATO World Leaders Dinner.
Chef Angeles served on the Board of Directors for the Chicago chapter of the American Culinary Federation and has received the Chef Professionalism and Chef of the Year awards by the Windy City ACF. He earned the Grand Diploma from L’ecole de Cordon Bleu in London, United Kingdom, and is certified as an Executive Chef and as a Culinary Administrator by the American Culinary Federation. He currently resides in Shorewood with his wife Nikki and their two children Corbin and Skyler.
