Tornado Relief Needed

Education Partners, good morning…
The Plainfieldarea “Helping Hugs” organization is doing a quick, two-day drive for relief supplies for the victims of yesterday’s tornadoes in Washington, Illinois.
Donations will be accepted from 2-7 p.m. today and tomorrow, November 18 and 19, at Plymouth Congregational Church, 24022 W Lockport Street in downtown Plainfield. ***Please use the Illinois Street entrance.***
Donations will be delivered to Washington High School on Wednesday, November 20th.
Needed are:
SPECIFIC CLOTHING ITEMS:
  • sweatshirts
  • gloves
  • coats
  • socks
  • hats
    (no other clothing items at this time)
  • Blankets
  • bottled water
  • non-perishable food items
  • snacks
  • non-electric can openers
  • shampoo
  • conditioner
  • body soap (travel/hotel size and full size)
  • toothbrushes
  • toothpaste
  • small stuffed animals
  • gift cards to Walmart or Target
  • gift cards to fast food restaurants
Helping Hugs was created last spring during the severe flooding in our area. Since then the group has helped numerous families throughout the Plainfield area.
