Village Board Reviews Plans
for Sam’s Club
At the September 5th Village Board Meeting, officials reviewed a concept plan for another major retailer to locate in Romeoville. Sam’s Club proposed a 138,000 square foot building on 13 acres. The site is located adjacent to the existing Walmart store on Weber Road near Airport Road in the Romeoville Crossings Center. “Sam’s Club will be a great addition to the other retailers along the Weber Road Corridor,” said Mayor John Noak. “We look forward to the addition of over 200 jobs as well as the tax revenue it will bring to our community,” he added. Developer George Barr of Air-Web, LLC will present the final development plan to the Village Board in October. Once Sam’s receives corporate approval, construction could begin this fall.
