Sports Cards and Collectibles Show

Romeoville Recreation Center, 900 W. Romeo Rd.
If you are an avid sports, comic, or role playing game card collector, stop by the Romeoville Recreation Department for a mecca of trading cards. All ages are welcome! Admission is $1 per person. If you’re interested in being a vendor at the show or have any questions, please call the Recreation Department at (815) 886-6222.

Mayor’s Costume Ball
Saturday, November 5, 2011
7:00-11:00pm
Friendship Centre at HighPoint, 175 HighPoint Dr.
Join us for a great night out! The Romeoville Youth Outreach Commission is hosting the Mayor’s Costume Ball Fundraiser! This event is for ages 21 and over only. Events include a costume contest, DJ, heavy appetizers, and a walk-around magician. All proceeds will go towards establishing a Youth Outreach Commission scholarship fund. Purchase tickets at the Recreation Center, Village Hall, HighPoint, Plainfield Public Library, or DuCap before November 5th for $25 single/$40 couple, or at the door on November 5th for $30 single/$40 couple.

Winter Wonderland and Hope for the Holidays

The Romeoville Recreation Department and Fat Ricky’s have teamed up to combine Winter Wonderland and Hope for the Holidays into one spectacular event! Indoor activities include children’s entertainment, face painting, inflatables, Book Fair, crafts, and a picture with Santa (available to the first 300 children). Admission is one non-perishable food item per attendee, and all donations will go towards Hope for the Holidays’ care packages. Tree Lighting Festival

Tree Lighting with Santa – 6:00pm
Outside the Romeoville Recreation Department, 900 W. Romeo Rd.
Celebrate the tree lighting ceremony with Santa as we light up the night with festive lights on the 30 ft. spruce outside the Recreation Department! Enjoy other outdoor activities, including real reindeer, horse-drawn wagon rides, and ice sculptures. This FREE event is outside the Recreation Department so please dress for the weather! Daddy-Daughter Ball… a Magical Dinner Date Night!
Saturday, February 4th
6:00-9:00pm
Romeoville Recreation Department, 900 W. Romeo Rd.
It’s your chance to get all dressed up girls! Dads, bring your daughter(s) age 3 to 10 out for a special night of fun! At the ball you will enjoy dinner, drinks, cookies, and dancing the night away! Your daughter(s) will also make a special Valentine’s Day craft to bring home. Capture this special night with a picture of you and your daughter(s) taken at the ball. Fee includes dinner, drinks, cookies, craft, and a picture. Pre-registration is required and participants must register by Friday, January 13th; no registration will be taken at the event. Fee for resident Daddy/Daughter couple is $24 ($36 non Romeoville resident) and for each resident additional daughter is $10 ($15 non Romeoville resident).
